Jennifer Lopez in talks for global peace anthem in Vikrant Massey’s ‘White’
The international thriller "White", starring Vikrant Massey as global spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is steadily positioning itself as one of the most ambitious cross-border film projects to emerge from India in recent years. With its scale, subject and international footprint already drawing attention, the film is now generating fresh buzz for a potential global musical collaboration that could significantly widen its reach.
Industry sources indicate that the makers are in discussions with an international music label that has approached global pop icon Jennifer Lopez to lend her voice to a special song for the film. If finalised, the track is expected to serve as the film’s thematic backbone—an anthem rooted in peace, unity and shared human values.
The collaboration is being facilitated by a leading global music label known for its expansive reach and longstanding associations with top-tier international artists. An insider familiar with the development told several Indian media outlets, “Jennifer Lopez and the international music label are exploring a theme song that will define the soul of ‘White’. The track, which will be in English and Spanish, is envisioned as a grand anthem for promoting Indian philosophies for world peace, love and oneness, drawing inspiration from iconic tracks like Michael Jackson’s ‘Heal The World’.”
Designed as a global thriller, "White" is primarily shot in English and Spanish, with plans to dub the film in 21 languages, including Hindi. The production wrapped filming after an extensive schedule across South America, which accounts for nearly 90% of the shoot. Reflecting its international ambition, close to 90% of the cast and crew are from outside India.
The film’s visual language is shaped by cinematographer Juan Carlos Gil, best known for his work on Narcos, lending the project a distinctly global aesthetic. The narrative blends geopolitical intrigue with spiritual philosophy, positioning the story for audiences beyond traditional Indian cinema markets.
Backed by producers Siddharth Anand and Mahaveer Jain, "White" is directed by Montoo Bassi and co-produced by Conscious Studios, PeaceCraft Pictures and BroadVision. South American production powerhouse Jaguar Bite has also joined the project as a co-production partner, further reinforcing its international credentials.
While the Jennifer Lopez collaboration is still under discussion, industry watchers suggest that her involvement—even as a vocalist—could significantly amplify the film’s global visibility. A bilingual anthem performed by an artist of her stature would align seamlessly with the film’s message of peace and non-violence, while also helping it connect with audiences across continents.
The makers are reportedly keen to ensure that the music reflects the film’s core philosophy rather than functioning as a standalone promotional tool. Should the anthem materialise, it would mark a rare convergence of Indian spiritual themes with mainstream global pop culture.
Final details regarding the song are expected to be locked in the coming weeks. An official announcement, if and when the collaboration is confirmed, is likely to follow soon—potentially setting the stage for one of the most globally resonant musical moments tied to an Indian-led international film in recent memory.
