No Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours

At least 93 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the country in 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday.

No deaths from the disease were reported during this period, and the death toll remained at 29,314, said a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The Covid-19 death rate is now 1.46 percent.

The current positivity rate is 4.41 percent, while the total positivity rate stands at 13.68 percent.

With the new cases, the number of caseloads rose to 20,09,222, the DGHS release added.

A total of 2,110 samples were tested across the country during the 24-hour period. At least 228 patients recovered within the time.

The number of recoveries now stands at 19,51,965 and the recovery rate at 97.15 percent, added the release.
