No Covid deaths for 25th consecutive day

No deaths from Covid-19 were reported in the country for the 25th consecutive day yesterday.

Thirty-three new infections were recorded in 24 hours ending at 8:00am after 3,818 samples were tested across the country.

The number of Covid-19 deaths remains at 29,127, and the mortality rate is 1.49 percent, said a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of Covid cases rose to 19,53,012.

The current positivity rate is 0.86 percent, while the overall positivity rate stands at 13.90 percent, said the release.

At least 269 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period, taking the number of recoveries to 18,99,419. The recovery rate is 97.26 percent, added the release.
