No death from Covid for three days

The health directorate reported no death from Covid-19 for three straight days yesterday.

In the past 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday, a total of 173 fresh cases were detected in the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

So far, the Covid-19 claimed a total of 29,315 lives in the country. The first death was reported on March 18, 2020.

With the latest count, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 2,009,970.

Yesterday, the positivity rate was 3.76 percent based on 4,603 samples tested countrywide.

At least 372 patients have recovered from Covid-19 within this time.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,53,740 and the recovery rate at 97.20 percent, added the release.
