No scope for complacency over Covid-19: Health Minister

Stating that there is no scope for complacency over the Covid-19, Health Minister Zahid Maleque today (April 27, 2022) urged all to maintain health safety guidelines as the virus still exists in the country.

"Coronavirus cannot be neglected. The virus hasn't gone away yet.  All will have to maintain health safety guidelines and wear face masks. Social distancing should be maintained as much as possible," he said.

The health minister came up with the remark at a programme while distributing Eid clothes in Manikganj Sadar upazila this afternoon, reports our Manikganj correspondent.

He said there are still a lot of poor people in the country.  "It is our responsibility to stand by the poor people."

During this Ramadan, about 30,000 houses have been given to homeless people and So far, six lakh houses have been handed over to homeless people.

At the programme, Zahid Maleque distributed saris and lungis to 5,000 underprivileged people of Manikganj as Eid gifts.
